The events that happened

On September 2, the Indian government had banned 118 Chinese mobile applications, including the hugely popular mobile game PUBG. The ban on PUBG did not go down well with mobile gamers in India with many asking for its return. 

Pubg parent company Krafton announced that they will bring back Pubg mobile as fast as possible to India. Ahead of Diwali, they announced that they are planning on releasing  Pubg mobile India.

Tencent the Chinese company which was running Pubg mobile in India previously had no control over the new Pubg mobile India because Krafton had brought back the right for them to release Pubg mobile in India. 

They announced that the new Pubg mobile India will be based in Bangalore and the servers will be provided by Microsoft. On November 14 2020 they announced that the much-speculated Pubg mobile India will be coming soon to India.

They also released a trailer for the new game staring big Pubg mobile gamers like Soul mortal.

Krafton corporation asked the permission of the MEITY to release the new game but they are still not satisfied regarding the safety of the game and are still not ready to respond to their request.

Current state of the game

Currently, Krafton is constantly working on launching the game.

They are also posting some leaks of the game. Like the Anarkali skin which is speculated to be a reward to the players when they first login to the game during the release.

They have also announced that there will be a new lightweight function added to the game. This function allows users to only download the resources they want, this reduces the original download size to just 600Mb.

Another rumor is that the game will only be released on the  Pubg mobile India official website and not in the play store

Things to look out for!

During the period after the announcement, many fake links popped up telling the gamers that they can download the game via that link.
